The bundled payment will ensure that patients are only given the care that they need, which will cut down on extra costs and up the savings for hospitals and physicians. These savings will then be passed down to the patient by not paying the physician fee. Deirdre Baggot has been in the pharmaceutical industry for awhile herself, and even served as an administrator at the Exempla Saint Joseph Cardiac and Vascular Institute in Denver, Colorado. She graduated with a nursing degree from South Illinois University, then went on to earn a certificate from the Wharton School for Health Care Executive Leadership at Pennsylvania University. She then went to the University of Colorado to further her studies, where she graduated with a Masters in Nursing and obtained a Business Masters Degree from Los Angeles’ Loyola University Graduate School of Business.
